Our first time was when we lived in Colorado and I was so excited and determined to get as much chicken for as little "moola" as possible. (See what I did 😁). At that time, I only had three in my herd, and back then Chick-fil-a wanted "full cow for a free meal" or "partial cow for an entree". I searched high and low at the thrift stores for cow costume supplies. I ended up paying about $10 in all for their costumes, so to really maximize our chicken savings, we went for lunch and dinner (and maybe even breakfast too...I can't remember).

Aren't they stinkin' cute?! After that year, we (I) were hooked and we haven't missed a year since. And now that I've added a couple more to the herd, and they've grown a lot since then, I have had to make a couple more shirts to accommodate everyone. Next year somebody is gonna need a new one, for sure. (Addie and Pennie's were just a little snug this year 😁) Our costumes are not so elaborate anymore either... cause, you know, more kids=less time.

This morning we went for a free breakfast... while putting their shirts on in the parking lot, Nathaniel says, "you're gonna make me do this every year till I move out, aren't you?" 😁😁😁 Yes. Yes, I am. After breakfast we went to the $1 movie, then I had an appointment with the midwife, and after that we went back to Chick-Fil-A for a late lunch. It was a good, summer day with my sweet baby cows.
Just for fun, here's some comparison pictures of when we started going to the summer $1 movies too.
