June Kid Quotes and Happenings

Me: You should be a comedian, Lillie.
Lillie: Why?
Me: Cause you're funny and you tell a lot of jokes.
Lillie: Oh. Pa is Canadian, right?
Me: I said comedian, NOT Canadian 😂

Justin, talking to me: When we're 60...
Addie: What? You're 60?? This is just like the time you didn't tell me we were Americans.

Addie: Daddy, who's the toughest man alive?
Pennie, to Justin: You are! Just kidding. 😂

Me: I can't figure out whose nose Addie and Pennie have.
Justin: I think it's a hybrid.
Addie: I have Daddy's nose cause it always gets snotty.

Pennie: I want Chick-fil-a for lunch.
Me: They're closed today.
Pennie: We could go through the drive way!

Gabrie, upset that she couldn't spend time with Daddy: I don't wanna wait.
Lillie, bursting into song: 𝆕𝆕 "I don't wanna wait! For my life to be over" 𝆕𝆕

Me: You're hair is so pretty, Addie.
Addie: Are you jealous?
Me: Yes! I want it!
Addie: Jealousy is bad. I'm calling the cops on you.

Pennie went to wake up the kids one morning so we could eat breakfast. She went to the girls' room and tried to wake up Lillie, who is hard to wake up. She came back and told Justin, "Lillie is a dark sleeper."
She thinks that you're either a "light sleeper" or a "dark sleeper" 😂😂😂

Juliette's newest word is "uh oh". She has also learned early on that we yell at Alexa and she'll play us music. She tries to mimic this all the time when we put a song on. She's taking a few steps now and has started dancing, gives kisses and waves bye bye. She shakes her finger at us for "no, no, no" too. She's 10 months old tomorrow!

We had a short visit in Arkansas at the end of May and stayed the first week of June. It was a little different than other Summer visits with all the covid crap...we packed as much fun as possible into a week though and visiting family is always sweet. It was interesting getting a table at La Fiesta for our crowd. We celebrated Penelope's 4th birthday and Amelia's 1st birthday while we were there.

Addie's sunflowers bloomed this month. She's very proud of her green thumb. She says every time we go out to water, "my sunflowers are doing so good, huh Mama!"

Hockey practices have started back up and Nathaniel has loved getting back out on the ice.
He hadn't put on his gear since March, so he pulled it out to practice dressing before his actual practice. 😂

The girls wanted me to buy them "vinoculars" (Pennie and Addie), and when I said no, (because I'm the "no parent"), they found empty toilet paper rolls and made their own. Gabrie and Lillie opted for telescopes.

Also, I beat this guy THREE times in a row.😁
