*Pennie walks into my room*

"Juliette's not born yet."

Me: Nope, not yet."

*Pennie walks out with shoulders drooped*

"UGH, it's taking forever!"

(This was August 2nd. Juliette was due the 29th and we're still waiting!)

Pennie: "Later Eskimo."

Me: "Later Eskimo? What's that mean?

Pennie: "I don't know."

Me: "I'm so sick of xbox controllers everywhere! We have too many."

Pennie: "You have a million kids, Mama."

Lillie: "Daddy, when you were growing up, was ice cream a thing?"

Pennie: "I'm not getting into your 'stuffes'. I'm just looking at them."

Pennie punched Justin in the back earlier and she was put in time out. They talked about it at bedtime and she said, "You let me out because you love me."

Of course, the only appropriate response was for Justin to burst into song, in his highest, girliest voice: "And I, willllll ALWAYS LOVE YOOOOUUUU"

Pennie; "That is banned!"

Justin: "I'm banned?! Grace, that's a quote."

Pennie: "Sing it again, Daddy."

Justin: "No, I'm banned."

Pennie: "Ok. You're not banned anymore."

*Addie and Lillie talking about Juliette being born. I told them only two more weeks till she's here.*

Addie says to Lillie: "Are you gonna touch the slime? I am!"

Pennie: "Wait a second. Is Juliette gonna be naked in your belly?"

Me: "Yep!"

Pennie: "We gotta get her some panties."

*Me, kissing Pennie*

Pennie: "Alright, that's enough kisses young lady."

Pennie: "How do the people get out of the TV?"

Lillie: "Today I cried happy tears."

Me: "You did? Why?"

Lillie: "Because I found this cat on minecraft that I didn't think I'd ever see again."

Pennie: "When I'm a mom, I'm gonna wear clothes like this to go in the garden. So I can get carrots to feed the rabbits."

*Me tickling Pennie*

"How are you so cute?"

Pennie, while giggling: "God made us!"

August was a little upsetting for Nathaniel. He found out he'd been lied to for the last 5 years. Back in 2014, we took a trip to Seattle. He was very into bigfoot during that time. He and Justin took a little walk outside our hotel in this heavily wooded area, and Justin being the fun dad he is, would throw a rock here and there toward the trees without Nathaniel knowing. They'd hear the noise in the brush and Justin would exclaim, "what was that?!" Well, Nathaniel was a little scared by this and insisted they turn back because it had to be bigfoot out there. So a few nights ago, we get to talking about bigfoot and the girls are totally buying Justin's stories... they left the room and it was just the three of us left at the table. Nathaniel started talking about that time they took a walk and kept hearing noises and then Justin giggled. Nathaniel realized at that moment-- "Wait a minute. That was you?! You've been lying to me this whole time! I thought that was real! I was scared and I really wanted to go on that trail!" Poor kid. We had no idea he had thought that was real all this time. 😅

August 26th-

Pennie: I wonder why Juliette is not gonna be born yet.

Me: "She'll be here soon."

Pennie: "Uuuuggggghhhh! IT'S TAKING FOREVER!!!!"

Pennie: "Look at this tiny grape. It's so cute!"

(This couldn't wait till after my bath)

Nathaniel: "Can we have Mexican for dinner tonight?

Me: "No, I don't have the stuff for that."

Nathaniel: "We could go out."

Me: "Not tonight."

Nathaniel: "Well then when Juliette is born, can we have Mexican?"

Me: "I don't know, we'll see."

Nathaniel: "Cause I just watched an episode of x-files about the chupacabra and now I'm in the mood for Mexican food."

Addie: "Hey Bubba, guess what?"

Nathaniel: "What?"

Addie: "Nothing."

*LAUGHTER*

The girls have all made a habit of "pranking" their brother. One night he came out to complain that Lillie told him I made cookies. I did not make cookies. Gabriella and Lillie always interrupt his game time and tell him I either want him for something, or I said it's time to turn off the game. Not much is funnier than him coming out to see what I need only to find out I didn't need him and he already turned off the game. 😅 They might enjoy torturing him just a bit too much.
